NANDOM CONSTITUENCY YOUTH WING, NDC COMMISERATES WITH FAMILY OF LATE TITUS POLUKUU
The NDC youth wing of the Nandom Constituency is still in a state of shock and disbelief about the sudden demise of one of our industrious, dedicated and loyal party faithful within the constituency and the region. He was one of the immediate past deputy regional youth organisers for Upper West Region. He was also a regional youth aspirant in the last regional conference.
Late Titus Polukuu was appointed to the regional executive committee, recently, because of his hard work and loyalty to the party.
The late Titus Polukuu was discharging his duties without any reservations until that "dark Sunday", 5th February, 2023 when social media broke the shocking sad news to the world.
The young man lost his life through motor accident. According to eyewitness, he was returning from Kunfabiala, a nearby community in Wa where a Ssangyong car, in an attempt to dodge a pothole on the road, veered off from its lane and crashed him to death on the spot.
The painful exit of Titus Polukuu can be attributed to the negligence of this government. The spot where the incident occured is a hotspot that claims so many lives yet the regional minister and his government look on unconcerned. As to the number of lives they wish to lose there before they fill those potholes is unknown.
The news came to the Nandom youth secretariat as a big blow and that left the whole secretariat dumbfounded. It was practically impossible for anybody who knows the young man very well to still have his or her right senses properly working. The secretariat was so devastated about this great loss. Indeed, the painful exit of Titus Polukuu has created a very big vacuum that cannot easily be filled.
The Almighty God needed him most though we also need him. He gives life and takes it back as and when He wishes.
We wish to call on the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, the Upper West Regional Minister and the government to reshape the roads within the region to minimise the accident related death rate in the region.
We pray that the gentle soul of our former boss, Titus Polukuu, rest in perfect peace. We once again wish the bereaved family our sincere condolences.
