As a two-term Municipal Chief Executive (2009-2017) in Akuapem North Municipal Assembly, you set a record of excellence that remains unmatched. During your tenure as MCE, you clearly demonstrated a strong commitment to community development, local governance and public service and this further solidifies your expertise in addressing diverse communities' needs. Your relentless work ethic and respect for all, regardless of status, have been the pillars of your political growth. It is no surprise that you have successfully led the youth wing for two consecutive terms, despite facing formidable competition. You are a mentor to many a youth who are doing very well in diverse areas.
Your exceptional organizational skills couple with humility and honesty distinguish you from other leaders. This has carved an enviable niche for you in contemporary times.
Under your leadership as Youth leader, you empowered the Green Army of the NDC like never before. You provided the necessary resources, strengthened grassroots mobilization, and led the charge in securing an unprecedented victory for the NDC. Seats once considered unwinnable, such as Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region, and many others were reclaimed, proving the power of youth engagement and strategic leadership.
Your impact resonates across the country, with every constituency youth organizer equipped with the tools needed to be visible and active on the ground. The energy and determination you instilled in the youth played a crucial role in the resounding success of the just-ended elections.
The significant and unparalleled roles played by the distinguished Youth Leader offered him the license to become the first Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment. This is unprecedented!
In spite of the milestone chalked under the able leadership of Hon. Lawyer George Opare Addo, he remains humble, respectful and simple. These attributes and posturings of the Youth Minister have further deepened the hopes of the youth. Many of us are without a modicum of doubt that we (the youth) of this country would have our challenges addressed by the youth Minister.
On this special day, I honour your hard work, dedication, and exceptional leadership. May this new year brings you greater achievements, good health, and continued success.
It is my prayer that you live long to empower the youth of the country. May your strength be renewed and may you have good health to champion the crusade of the youth of Mother Ghana.
