It was on one Wednesday in 2018 when a call came. I answered the call and the message was, "I am in Wa. Can we meet at Blue Hills Hotel?" I responded in affirmative. Immediately after the call, I picked my motorbike and rode to the said hotel. I called and a smart looking, fresh, energetic, brilliant young guy came out. That was the first time I saw him in person and he too. Meanwhile, we had had lots of encounter via social media for a long time. Could this be Kingbee, I conjectured. My guess was not far from right. His appearance commensurated his level of intelligence.
I followed him into the room and as humble as he is, he offered me a seat and water. We exchanged greetings and then introduced ourselves officially as tradition demands. We had our unique familiarisation discussions as we take some chilled drinks. I went back to my place of abode after the discussions.
Our conversation intensified astronomically through phone calls and social media. Comrade Baghr Francis famously known as Kingbee is such a young man with unique qualities and humility. His charisma, dexterity coupled with his intellectual sagacity cannot be belittled. He is an academic giant and speaks impeccable English. This makes him dominates in any intellectual discourse on both social and traditional media.
As a young man with "eagle eyes", he has a great vision that propells him to learn endlessly. This has made him a hub of uncommon knowledge, an impeccable communicator and a doyen of politics. His determination and focus has never been derialed by what he deems inconsequential.
Notwithstanding the above enviable qualities, Kingbee remains a humble, respectful, tolerant and simple to everybody. His respect and love for humanity has conferred on him an invaluable accolades. Baghr as he is popularly called by the elderly in Ko, doesn't discriminate with his respect and love. He respects you as a human being and not because you are rich, handsome, young, old, tall, short, fair or your position. This attribute of his attracts myraid of people both young and old around him.
Again, Kingbee is a devoute Catholic so committed to church activities. Possibly that is why he is so down to earth and does what he does. Apart from him being committed to church activities, he is equally committed and loyal to fulfilling whatever promise he makes to anybody. He is bold to tell you what he can do and what he cannot do. He distances his personality from any disappointment.
Senior comrade Baghr Francis is an indefatigable young man, versatile, very industrious and reliable. This attribute has again offered him the opportunity to make and maintain lots of trustworthy friends across the length and breadth of Ghana and beyond.
In addition to the above attributes, Kingbee is a no nonsense young man. He strongly believes in the school of thought that says that a man must not swallow his cough because he fears to disturb the sleep of others. In the light of this, Kingbee will tell you in your face without fear or favour, what he feels irrespective of your status. Ones position or status doesn't influence his diction per his principle. As vociferous as he is, Kingbee has gained admiration for his passionate and constructive criticism of duty bearers. What others may consider hatred. He refuses to be cowed or tamed by anybody and will invariably spend time arguing out his points as he engages in intellectual discourse. Sincerely speaking, Grammatical construction alone cannot be used to eulogise this young man.
I therefore wish to use this opportunity to add my voice to the many voices in expressing my best wishes and felicitations to you as you celebrate this milestone in your life. May this new age brings you more grace and blessing. May you live long to model lots of the young ones and also enjoy the fruits of your labour.
