The NDC has sighted a publication in opera news in which the hand-picked NPP constituency secretary, Mr. Martin Wuoyang is quoted to have said that the NDC in Nandom is sponsoring Alois Mohl to contest Ambrose Dery (both of the NPP) in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries.
This is not only preposterous and pathetic, but it also points to how low the NPP has sunk in leadership in Nandom and nationally. This is the same hand-picked constituency secretary who, without notice and fair hearing signed a letter terminating the membership of Alois Mohl from the NPP in order to pave the way for Ambrose Dery to stand unopposed. This is the same constituency secretary who locked the constituency office throughout the period of the picking of forms and filing and swore heaven and earth that Alois Mohl will never be allowed to pick a form from him only to open same office the last day for filing for Ambrose Dery to file his nomination and quickly after that he locked the office again.
The NPP in Nandom is a mockery of a democratic party. This is a party in which the MP is the only person who hand picks constituency executives. This is a party where party meetings are only held when the MP is in town in the MP's House when the constituency has a party office. This is a party no one else has any say apart from the MP who doubles as the Minister of interior. This is a party that does not want anyone to contest against the MP. This is a party in which anyone that speaks against the wishes of the MP, that person is vilified and haunted out of he party by a motley acolytes of Hon. Ambrose Dery and silenced forever.
This campaign of calumny, divide and rule and totalitarian politics by Hon. Ambrose has not only served to make the NPP look like a mafia organization with a leader they call "The Boss", it has destroyed the social fiber of the people of Nandom.
The NDC in the Nandom constituency is a well-established party with laid down structures. Everyone in the NDC has a say and the NDC believes in practicing the ideals of democracy to the highest standard possible. The NDC is not interested in the activities of a dead party like the NPP that is only surviving on the whims and caprices of Ambrose Dery, the MP.
The people of Nandom want political parties to deepen democracy rather than stifle it. Political parties must build better structures that protect the parties and their members instead of creating demigods and dictators who take the party as their personal property and kick out those who speak against the ills of such dictators.
The NDC sees this mischievous finger pointing by titular constituency secretary of the NPP as the last kick of a dying horse. The center of the NPP in Nandom can no longer hold because party members are fighting back against a dictator MP and Minister of Interior who has decided that no other person will be allowed to contest him as long as he remains in politics. He has boasted on several occasions that he has never been contested and he will never allow anyone to contest him.
The NDC is, therefore, calling on all well-meaning Nandome to disregard such delusional statements from the NPP in Nandom, which goes to affirm the point that the NPP does not take responsibility for anything. They are always looking for something or someone to bear their irresponsibilities.
Hon. Alois is a social development consultant and has been in public service for 30years.
Hon. Alois put out a flyer asking for support and it can not be true that, he's been sponsored by the NDC.
This is just one of the many narratives to feed into their long standing hatred for anyone who refuses to be part of the cartel of bootlickers around the Hon. Ambrose Dery.
When Alois gave delegates who are Muslims sugar during the 2019 Ramadan and the MP asked that they return them, was he sponsored by the NDC?
In the run up to the 2020 elections, under the tacit directive of Hon. Ambrose Dery, 2000 T-shirts donated by Hon. Alois were rejected. Was he sponsored by the NDC?
Does this proposition from the remote control secretary of NPP in the Nandom Constituency go to suggest that Patrick Nakpenaa; the NPP youth organizer and a host of other strong members of NPP who are being demonized and witch-hunted are supported by the NDC?
Is it the NDC, that masterminded the disqualification of Mr. Bekyieriya Sylvester from contesting as NPP Constituency Chairman simply because he doesn't go to eat rice at the MP's house?
The NDC has no time and space to dabble in the sordid affairs of the NPP. The NDC was not the ones at the NPP party Headquarters that received and endorsed the nomination and filling of Mr. Alois Mohl, as a candidate and the NDC, therefore rejects such puerile accusations without blinking.
The NDC in Nandom calls on all parties in Nandom to play to the rules of democracy and the rule of law and to encourage Nandome to look out for a democratic party like the NDC and to patronize and endorse same at polls.
The NDC further calls on all Nandome to work hard to ensure Dr. Richard Kuuire is elected as the MP of Nandom to provide leadership that will restore our cherished values as a close-knit society and still deliver on our development aspirations in terms of quality education, primary health care, jobs and security.
The NDC is therefore calling on Nandome to vote massively for JDM and Dr. Richard Kuuire, come December 2024 and forget about these bunch of nation wreckers and dictators in the NPP.
