The Gender Commissioner of AAMUSTED, Madam Juliet Dery Montii, made an unprecedented donations to the People With Disabilities (PWD) in the university.
The initiative which was the first of it kind ever since the university was established, received enormous commendations. The University's Registrar emphasized that it was the first time a student leader made this kind of donations in the university.
The university's Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, URO and the entire top hierarchy lauded this brilliant initiative and commended madam Juliet Dery Montii for the yoman's job. They whole heartedly received the donations and opened-up their doors to welcome her at all times.
Madam Juliet Dery Montii, the Gender Commissioner, is such a visionary, industrious, dynamic and determined leader. She spares no effort in her pursue for excellence. Madam Juliet Dery Montii, the AAMUSTED Gender WOCOM is highly respectful and respected by many - both young and old. She is a grassroot lady who is richly endowed with uncommon organisational skills. She is very humble, caring and a lovely lady. Her love and care for humanity, knows no discrimination. She is a result-oriented person who would at all length to achieve results.
These unique qualities of hers led to this unparalleled and most cherished success she chalked. As a grassroot leader, she commenced the project on a low tone. She first designed envelopes, followed by a catchy proposal and wrote letters appealing for funds.The envelops, letters and proposals were shared to organisations, groups, individuals and families soliciting funds to execute this brilliant initiative.
Kodus to the president of the People With Disabilities (PWD), Albert Lebil Punamanbi for playing a critical role for the realization of this vision. He took active part in sharing some of the envelopes and doing follow-ups on them. He never hesitated whenever he was called to do anything.
Madam Juliet Dery Montii, having carved an enviable niche for herself and God being so good, the initiative was well appreciated by a myriad of people.They contributed generously to enable the programme see the light of day.
The following items were bought with part of the money contributed. They include: three (3) wheelchairs, two pairs of crushers, foodstuffs (three bags of rice, two boxes of 210mls of Tin Tomatoes, one box of 450mls cooking oil, a pack of Toilet Roll, two cartons of soft drinks, two packs of Vena Mineral Water) and a cash donation of Ghc1000.00 were made.
Some of the People With Disabilities and their patrons who were privilege to be part of the programme, were so elated that people like their Grasag Gender WOCOM, Juliet Dery Montii, recognized and acknowledged their presence in the university in this grand-style. They thanked madam Juliet Dery Montii for keeping them in mind and wished that she lives long and goes higher so that more of this benevolent act could be extended to them and their colleagues across the country.
The university's VC, the Registrar, URO and the Patrons of People With Disabilities congratulated her for chalking that milestone and wished her well in all her endeavours.
